Sacconis Play in Repton - To Ground Shaking Success

It is indisputable that music is a powerful force. It will however, be difficult to prove that the earthquake, felt in a lot of the UK last night was a direct result of the Sacconi and Navarra Quartet playing just a few miles from the epicentre.

Mendelssohn’s Octet is certainly a piece that requires and generates huge amounts of energy. We had no idea of the implications, and will consider revising the tempo of the finale, the knock on effect having been tectonic plate movements from far beneath us.

Catch the octet when you can. It’s a lot of fun and you never know what’s going to happen!
