Post Sacconi Festival
Dear Friends,
It is now a couple of days since the first Sacconi Chamber Music Festival in Folkestone and we are slowly coming back down to earth. For those of you who were able to come, I hope you agree that it was an enormous success on many fronts. The sun shone kindly on us for the whole weekend, the atmosphere in each and every concert was exceptional and the standing ovation we received on the last night left us feeling that we had taken part in a truly memorable weekend.
It was wonderful for us to see not only friends and patrons, but a younger audience; some from local schools and others who are passionate music lovers already. This is proof that the work carried out by the CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust is hugely valuable.
The fact that a large number of people, who have never experienced the power of chamber music have done so now, fulfils one of the major goals of the Sacconi Charitable Trust. We are delighted by this and look forward to expanding the valuable outreach work, which the Trust allows us to do.
Thank you so much for your invaluable support. The fact is, we couldn’t run this Festival without you, so we are all a part of this hugely rewarding and valuable project. Please help by spreading the word, so we can attract more people next year and build on the great successes of the last month.
We promise to keep you closely in touch with the developments of next year, which although right now feels a long way away, will be upon us all before we know. We can’t wait!
With warmest wishes from all the quartet,
Ben Hancox
